Zonder twijfel hebben we hier een zeer bijzondere en unieke MGB in de collectie. Deze schitterende MGB uit 1973 is namelijk volledig origineel en ongerestaureerd. Het feit dat de auto nog in zo’n goede en harde conditie is, maakt deze engelse klassieke roadster extra aantrekkelijk. We hebben ervoor gekozen om deze auto ongepoetst op de foto te zetten, om daarmee de originaliteit en ongerestaureerde staat te benadrukken. Uiteraard zou de auto een volledige polijstbehandeling kunnen ondergaan, maar wij vonden het pure karakter van deze auto zo bijzonder mooi, dat we dat niet hebben gedaan.

Deze auto is geproduceerd in 1973 en geleverd in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. In 1977 is de auto naar Nederland gegaan. Wellicht was dit al de bedoeling tijdens de bestelling van deze auto, omdat de auto linksgestuurd is en een kilometerteller heeft in plaats van mijlenteller. In ieder geval is de originele engelse registratie nog bij de auto aanwezig. De prachtige groene kleur Green Mallard vormt een stijlvolle combinatie met het Ochre interieur. In Nederland heeft de auto diverse eigenaren gehad, waarvan de laatste de auto in bezit heeft sinds 2009. Het mooie is dat alle eigenaren het originele en ongerestaureerde karakter van de auto wilden behouden.

Zoals gezegd, we hebben ervoor gekozen om de auto ongepoetst te fotograferen. Maar met een professionele polijst en poetsbehandeling is de lak wel weer mooi glimmend te krijgen. De carrosserie is nog in zeer goede en harde conditie. Hooguit het linkerportier heeft wat aandacht nodig in verband met beginnende roestplekjes. Maar verder is de auto in bijzonder goede en harde conditie. De carrosseriedelen sluiten ook prima aan en ook de chroom en sierdelen zijn nog in prima staat. De originele Rostyle wielen zijn ook nog in prima conditie. De cabrioletkap is in het verleden wel een keer vervangen en is in zeer goede staat.

Het interieur is in zeer goede en originele staat. De originele vloerbedekking ligt er nog in en ook de bekleding van de stoelen en deuren is nog volledig origineel en in prima staat. Het dashboard is zeer netjes en alle instrumenten werken naar behoren. De stoelen zitten nog prima comfortabel en bieden voldoende steun. De MGB is een bijzonder comfortabele en vriendelijke klassieke rijdersauto.

Rijden met deze auto is heerlijk. Deze MGB is zeer goed onderhouden, wat zichtbaar is aan diverse onderhoudsfacturen. De auto rijdt en schakelt zeer soepel en ook de aanwezige overdrive zorgt voor comfortabel rijden bij hogere snelheden. De remmen voelen goed en stevig aan en sturen gaat ook met een fijn en solide gevoel. De aanwezige oliekoeler zorgt voor een betere koeling van de motor.

Deze bijzonder leuke MGB Roadster is uniek om de originele en ongerestaureerde status en wacht nu op de volgende liefhebber!

This car was produced in 1973 and delivered in the United Kingdom. The car went to the Netherlands in 1977. Perhaps this was already the intention when ordering this car, because the car is left-hand drive and has an odometer instead of a mile counter. In any case, the original English registration is still present with the car. The beautiful green color Green Mallard forms a stylish combination with the Ochre interior. The car has had several owners in the Netherlands, the last of whom has owned the car since 2009. The great thing is that all owners wanted to preserve the original and unrestored character of the car.

As mentioned, we chose to photograph the car unpolished. But with professional polishing and polishing, the paint can be made nice and shiny again. The bodywork is still in very good and hard condition. At most the left door needs some attention due to emerging rust spots. But otherwise the car is in exceptionally good and hard condition. The body parts also fit well and the chrome and trim parts are still in excellent condition. The original Rostyle wheels are also in excellent condition. The convertible top has been replaced once in the past and is in very good condition.

The interior is in very good and original condition. The original carpet is still there and the upholstery of the seats and doors is still completely original and in excellent condition. The dashboard is very neat and all instruments work properly. The seats are still very comfortable and offer sufficient support. The MGB is a particularly comfortable and friendly classic driver's car.

Driving this car is wonderful. This MGB has been very well maintained, which is visible in various maintenance invoices. The car drives and shifts very smoothly and the available overdrive also ensures comfortable driving at higher speeds. The brakes feel good and sturdy and the steering also has a nice and solid feel. The existing oil cooler ensures better cooling of the engine.
